5 Important Tips For Every Bride Looking To Fit Into Her Dress

Weight loss for brides is a common issue for women, as they need to slim down, tone up and eat right to look stunning, supple, fit and ultimately look their absolute best on their wedding day. Simply put, nobody wants to look at their wedding pictures in the future and see themselves as overweight. This is why weight loss is so important to many brides. But along with the goal of losing weight, most brides subconsciously pay less attention to their nutrition and diet in a bid to organize and prepare for their most important day, consequently gaining more weight. This balancing act between stress, duties and weight is a difficult gig, however, you don’t need to fret because I will be revealing the different ways you can lose enough weight just before your wedding.

•    Exercise

Is a great way to lose weight, as it stimulates the metabolism, kicks start the calorie burning process and makes you feel active and fit. It is good that brides should engage in exercises such as running, skipping, jogging or any other effective body movement before their wedding day because it tones up their body and helps to burn fat. While dieting alone can be enough to lose weight, often the body will need a little bit more of a push to really see results. If that’s not enough to convince you to exercise then essentially think of working out as a way to increase the likelihood of success. Try to choose a time of the day when you feel energetic and motivated to exercise, stick to it like it is an appointment and do it at least 4 to 5 time a week; you will be amazed with the results.

•    Track your food

Keeping a log of all the calories contained in the food you eat is a great idea. Plan to eat 200 to 500 calories, below your maintenance calories. This will almost guarantee your weight loss and depending on your dedication to stick to your diet, you could be losing 2 pounds (around 1kg) a week (rough estimate for eating 500 below maintenance calories). Planning ahead and knowing how much you need to lose, helps in reaching your weight loss goals just in time for your wedding.

•    Eat the right food

Studies have shown that the body’s metabolism is more efficient at handling small chunks of food than larger pieces. Despite the fact that every food that you consume counts, you should watch what you eat and when possible eat smaller meals (ideally 6 to 8 small meals each day). If you find it hard to manage smaller meals, you might want to try a meal replacement supplement, as it can help with portion control. But as a generally rule, try to plan and eat foods that are low in sugar, low in starches and high in protein.

•    Drink plenty water

This is one of the most important factors to losing weight and when it isn’t consumed in sufficient amounts, it can actually hinder the process of burning fat for energy. Drinking about eight glasses every day is a good start, however on your wedding day limit your consumption to 6 glasses as it will help reduce any water weight you might be carrying, make sure you don’t consume any less than this figure.

•    Pack your snacks for later

Packing your everyday lunch is a good idea, regardless of the extra time that it may take up in the morning or previous night. It is this simple approach which can help you stick to your planned diet and reduce the temptation to buy an unhealthy snack while at work. As simple as it may sound, it could be the difference in successfully losing weight and overeating, potentially gaining more weight.
